Bertram 25
Bill Reed's 25 under serious modification. Bill has done all the major prep himself (with help from his son Will.) His hands on approach and his directive "keep moving the ball down field" will soon be rewarded.
He removed the old glass tanks, prepped for new aluminum tanks and carefully marked his template for the new Armstrong stern bracket...New Suzuki outboards also on order.
New transom structure; engine box/surround mod., removed mica covered plywood side deck supports and faired hull (10 oz cloth to cover roving print,faired with polyester resin and microballoons) for paint; Gelcoat topsides and Alwgrip deck, cockpit and interior.
The new look is very clean and sharp.
Update 05/06/07:
The boat is coming along FAST. Transom bracket now fits well, Gelcoat ready for final color sanding. Deck is done, Cockpit in gloss, nonskid next week and out the door it goes!!!!! |
